It's all about the "Journey" not the destination...

We closed on our new house on June 1st, but we didn't move in until the end of June, it gave us time to paint (not even close to being done yet),  had new carpet installed on first floor, I put in a new kitchen floor,  we had to replace and install appliances (including removing a BUILT IN stove...who does that anymore), we installed a gas line to the new dryer (yikes...scary) and had to put a hole in the wall to the outside for the vent (a little more then we wanted to know how to do so soon into home ownership) we had a new roof installed, and had a garage door opener installed .  It has been a long journey  but they say it's really about the journey, not the destination...well, we have a long journey ahead of us. I am afraid!  Here are just a few shots of the move...I will be sharing before and after photos when I get a little closer to completion and I can find the time to get all the photo's together.  Thanks for sharing in our Journey!

Moving day...and it rained ALL day!

My new craft room on moving day, my BIL's laughed so hard saying that I would never get it all in, but I did and more!  More details on this later as it is a work in progress.

Hannah and our Kitty Layla at the new house wondering when they could go home...they sat there for days looking!

And as promised:

After 5 years on a leash in the townhouse, Hannah is LOVING her "Queen" size yard...you can't see it all because I had to zoom in to see her, she looks so tiny in this huge, empty yard!

And we are sooooo proud to announce the  2012 Graduation of our oldest Grandaughter Ashley!

She graduated with Honors and has started college this fall to get her degree to become a Veterinarian.  This girl has a great love for all animals...getting that from her Auntie Annie, and a determination and drive to succeed.  She visits with all the animals at the Humane Society and even works before and after school at the local Animal Clinic.  She can and will be anything she chooses to be.

Congrats Ashley we are so proud of you!

Our three beautiful Grandchildren, Ashley, Hailey and Gabe, love you all!

One last photo to leave you with today...the night before the BIG move, it was raining, dark and dreary and out of nowhere we had a rainbow completely covering our townhouse.
I think it was a sign...
